90 2.5TD Oil Cooler Fitting
Hi all,

My V8 project has a new 2.5TD radiator with the built in oil cooler. I am having real difficulties working out what thread the fittings are though.

The radiator has brass end tanks which have bosses with internal threads. I am not fitting standard hoses so dont want to buy the 25quid each adaptors. I just want to fot aero type fittings straight in. Took a punt at the threads being 1/2" BSPT (tapered) and ordered a couple of fittings. Sadly the fittings delivered are much larger, although it seems the threads in the radiator are larger. An M16 bolt seems to be around the right size but too coarse. The thread gauge shows the pitch being 1.25 or 1.3 which is a particually stupid pitch. I would also have thought it would be imperial (BSP). Does anyone know?
