Central locking fob playing up
I'm having problems with the central locking fob, as time has gone by it has got weaker and weaker, I am now standing right next to thr drivers door and onlt then after about 10 presses does it unlock Big Cry same applies with the spare as both are very well used.... unless someone can come up with a fix (fitted new batteries, no joy) I'm gonna have to buy a new one, has anyone bought from here :

and programmed it yourself? can it be done with a Nanocom Evo?
Thanks in advance Thumbs Up

I used to have the same on my Puma.
All you do is hold the fob against your scull and activate the fob.
It seems the body fluids boost the signal and activates the central locking 10' away.

That trick works with any fob. It uses your skelton as an antenna, but you shouldn't need to do it unless the battery is very flat.

In the Defender the antenna lead in the car is poorly routed or not long enough. My mini's plips have a much better range, and they're the same plips.

Thanks for the input chaps, I went down the route of extending the grey/orange antenna wire and it has improved a bit, at least now I can unlock the car from around 5m away 👍🏻 Optimists say the glass is half full..
