Oops
I invented the £60 Mod on the Subaru Forums about ten years ago.

Basically all modifications cost £60 or less when explaining to the wife how much you've spent.

So, In two days since buying the vehicle, I've bought a steering wheel, a snorkel, interior mirror, touch up pen, drivers door card, rear Land Rover badge, all for £60. Laughing

yeah it looks like a very late 300 tdi, what year was the cross over for TD5? I know the 300 was about around the L reg era,

1998 was the change over. I had a very early td5 on an S plate - it was terrible for reliability.

I thought I have seen TD5s on a T plate for sale, but wasn't sure when they did come into play, as I did consider a early TD5.
But the mpg might have killed me, plus getting my hands on one would be well tricky. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

I went for the WIPAC Leds in standard size and colours. Been on for several years and still good.

Just be aware that once your sidelights are nearly as bright as your dipped beam (if using Quadoptics still) you will start looking at crystals and looms or LED headlights. Rolling with laughter 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

Where did you get the gas strut, was it pricey and was it hard to fit? My rear door is driving me nuts
