300tdi timing belt tensioner
So we are all aware that the tensioner would wear the timing belt and you could get a kit with a redesigned tensioner but can anyone tell me what point Land Rovers came out the factory with this modification. I read Land Rover became aware in 1997 and started amending the problem so would my 1998 300tdi have the modification fitted? 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon

Its a really simple job on a 300tdi, but you will have to remove the crank bolt and pulley. Land Rover Toolbox has the instruction videos on his YouTube channel.

Shouldn't take more than a morning to strip, fit and put it back together.
