Forgive me but why bother with brake upgrades? I'm not saying it's a bad thing but...

From a quick Google the LS3 is in the same ball park weight wise as a Tdi lump. Admittedly I don't know about the gearbox side of things. So your not changing the weight of the vehicle much and on boggo brakes I can lock up all four wheels on dry tarmac on mine on road tyres, AT and MT tyres. So brakes aren't the limiting factor.

Admittedly if I had an LS3 I'd be hooning it more often and I'd be thinking about brake temperature which might warrant the upgrade.

As has already been said, locking up your brakes is the last thing ya'd wanna do, particularly on a wet road,or any other adverse conditions.
Big brakes are more than just "BIG" brakes. A better bigger multi piston caliper, combined with a properly matched larger disc and good tyres will give you much greater "control" over your braking, particularly in adverse conditions.
A good set of springs & shocks are also hugely beneficial.
All this might seem "over the top" to some, but with the performance that an LS3 is going to give you, brake & chassis enhancements are just as important as the powerplant. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Having about 600 miles on my recently returned wildcat Christ it needs diffs and shafts still running in on mud terrains it’s a great way to learn how to drive it with all that power but still has surprising levels of grip unless you are an absolute hooligan
