Transform your TD5 90/110 for £250
Fit adjustable dampers.

I just fitted a set to mine and on the softest setting the best description comes from my missus "lt's still a Defender, but like having a mattress between you and the bumps"

The best improvement is on unmade roads such as private roads and bridleways, where progress can now be made without being bounced out of the seat.

On one bad road near here, it's smoother at idle speed in second gear than it was in first.

And the bouncing on a bumpy corner taken at speed is much reduced.

Plus l can go over speed humps without my tool boxes taking off in the rear load space.

Even on the harder settings (3 from 4) it's better.
The ride is harder but better controlled, it doesn't bounce around on broken tarmac/pot holes when you get over 40mph.

This is on standard 110 SW springs, just the dampers replaced.

The vehicle is transformed.

Nice to read, but... what dampers? Bow down

Also out of interest how do you adjust the dampers? Is it an easy job, if you were in the mood for sports mode? James

Good news! I'm currently working on an electronic in cab system to adjust dampers. If the TF adjustable ones that you have are good I only imagine the more expensive ones will be better.

Yeah l fitted the Terrafirma ones.

Adjustment is easy but you do have to get on the floor to turn the knobs on the bottom of the dampers.

They have four positions with a detent on each position.

The front ones are a little harder to adjust as you need to get your fingers between the coil spring. But it only takes under a minute to do all four.

To be honest it handles well at speed/on the motorway even in the softest setting.
l do have ARB's on the Defender though.
