Silicone Hoses
I just ordered myself a BAS HI FLOW INTERCOOLER should I change my hoses to silicone - is it a good idea? 2010 Defender 90 HT

The longer I live..... The better I was!

Yes, deffinatly! Had my 2012 hoses changed by Pete whilst he fitted the Hi-Flow and the original hoses were already very soft on the corners. James

Yes. The standard ones can split and delaminate, silicone ones will not.

If you want the OEM look go for black ones, if you dont want to spend loads get the Terrafirma ones, nothing wrong with them at all.

BAS has some blue ones too. (5 Ply)

Terrafirma has quite an assortment of colours.

May be a quality difference between the two?

Possibly, more likely that BAS make less and TF mass produce them so cheaper.

I had the TF ones on my 90 for 3 years with no issues.
