Hello 013A, from Aussie.
I hope things are picking up for you a bit. Whatever you do, do NOT make any important decisions when you are emotionally upset. Give yourself plenty of time to think.
I wish you well, Pickles.

Thanks for the kind words, I'm a bit isolated actually which doesn't help matters.

Spotted a blown sidelamp bulb this morning, no biggie usually, but one of the retaining screws was well rusted so I have had to drill it all out, ruining the lens. New lens and holder on order from Craddocks, and decided to replace the shabby wing front trim piece at the same time. When I had my wing replaced, E H Douglas used an old shabby one, now it will have a new one. 2011 110 USW

No it is a mates trailer and that is just how they were...

I won't be out and about in my 110 today, you *might* see it parked up if you passed my home, but I will be in my works 110 otherwise...white with ladders, big winch, beacons etc etc... 2011 110 USW

United Kingdom 2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Santorini Black
I don't get on here much but just caught up with this thread. Long been an admirer/Landy stalker when it comes to your 110, really wish I had waited when I got mine and bought one in the same colour but mine was available now and I got a decent discount. First thing I did was take off the SVX alloys and put Wolf/MTRs on because I liked how yours looked.

Also, have done the whole split thing from the Mrs and had some bloody dark times so totally get your pain. Keep strong and never forget there's an army of people on here who are wishing you well.

In terms of getting away and maybe using an RTT I found a few boards in the back with a futon mattress and a couple of duvets made for a fantastic bed, zero set up, totally dry (well, as dry as a Defender gets Very Happy ). If you are really tall it probably won't work but for a 5'8" shortarse like me it's cracking and frankly pretty fun too.

I had a good few nights away with the lad too when he was younger. Now he's taller than me and I have a new other half we need more space so I've bought an oztent and use an awning with pop up 3 man tent for the lad but kipping in the Landy is still the accommodation of choice for just me.

Very best wishes and hope you get out and about and enjoy some well earned chill time.

Thanks for those suggestions. Yes I could just curl up in the back of the 110 on my airbed, but I never sleep well if I can see any light, so short of somehow blocking off all the windows I will struggle. I suppose the advantage is you don't get a silly great air dam on the top as well. I just like the idea of being able to sod off to the middle of Denmark or something at a moments notice and pitch up wherever I like.

As this is a public forum I shan't say too much more about my personal situation, but yes it has been almost immeasurably difficult, seven months on and I really don't feel all that much better. Neutral 2011 110 USW

My package from Craddocks arrived today. They somehow sent me a side repeater lens rather than a sidelamp, but did send the correct headlamp trim panel. Five minutes to fit (not even that really) and really tidies up the front end. I really do need to get a genuine replacement wing though as the "refurbished" one I got when my vehicle was damaged by a hit and run driver is starting to show it's age now.

I am not surprised that crads have sent you the wrong items, They sent my dad 300 items instead of the 200, that I ended up buying off him.
The trim you are replacing was the second face lift I ever did to mine, my driver side one was damaged and cracked. I ended up buying an XS setup which really set mine off. Also a nice set of stainless steel screws are a good little investment too! Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

It wasn't original to the truck, and is in fact much older, probably off an early TD5 going by the date marks on it, no later than the very early 2000s. The new one does make my passenger side one look a bit dull. I also noticed that the britpart item is not quite so nice as a genuine one, you can see some funny moulding marks around the headlamp opening for example. 2011 110 USW
