Any reason why not?
We run a 110 which gets used off road (presently in Portugal on the trails) Now its running on standard boost's with standard MTR's all good. But where we live to get out of the drive it's a u turn & it's a quick road, also some real tight turns here on and off the trails. Thinking 30mm spacers & adjust the stops? Is there any reason not to do this? Or just live with it, opinions great fully received.

No, there's no reason not to do this. It's a very common mod. Darren

Adding 30mm spacers vastly improves turning circle, highly recommend. James

Many thanks for the replys, are there any guidelines on adjusting the stops? Is it just adjust to give a certain amount of clearance or do you have to take into account that it's going to be used off road & give it a bit more?

Easy to do just adjust lock to lock and make sure that tyres don't rub the inner arches.
Make sure you buy hub centric spacers Thumbs Up

I set mine so that I can just slip a finger between the tyre and radius rod on full lock with the vehicle on level ground. This, I find, means that the tyre seldom rubs on the road but can at certain axle articulations off road, which doesn't bother me.

Every year the MOT tester tells me that the tyres on full lock are incredibly close to the radius rod and would fail if they touched, so I reckon I have got it as tight as practicable! I always make sure that there are no witness marks before the MOT, of course.

I used to trial my 90 and 110 and deliberately had the lock stops set so that the tyres contacted the radius arms - that way you know you have the absolute max lock. Spacers and non-standard offset rims aren't permitted. I was lucky that the mot tester was in a part of Somerset that was rich in ARC members so they never failed.

Adjusting stops ..
After fitting spacers I marked a corner on each "stop" with white "Cutex" - and then adjusted 2.5 turns.

Well all done, what a difference! Makes a massive improvement almost bus like, stopped in London the weekend so had chance to see how it got on with the tight spaces and very impressed.
