Right, I have done 300miles on the tank with no more noises from the pump so I do believe the air bleed valve was to blame. Mike

A bit of an update. I started to get issues when the fuel got low again (300miles). The engine stops and the pumps gets noisy again. Fuel light not on.

New genuine pump in and you can hardly hear it running!!

Hopefully that will be the end of this story. Thumbs Up Mike
