Well, as my defender has been whistling at people for a week or two now I thought I'd better get it sorted so ordered in the bits and they arrived before the weekend.

As you can see when I stripped it the leak was on number 5

And all back together, thankfully with no more whistling Mr. Green

Who de webbed your manifold for you?

Where the studs a pain in the ass to get out or did you manage ok?

I assume you pilot drilled the snapped one and used an extractor?

Good work

Hi, the manifold I bought from a seller on eBay' pre stressed and de-webbed, milled flat and painted with all the gaskets in the kit. The up rated wurth studs and copper nuts were also bought from eBay but a different seller. The studs came out pretty easy using the two nut trick (if you don't know how to do this look it up on YouTube, its really easy) and as you said the snapped stud was pilot drilled and removed with an extractor which was also not that bad of a job Thumbs Up Ray

Spot on, I've got some proper stud extractors at home, lot easier than the 2 nut jobby

I was just curious about the manifold in case mine decides to go

Right Ray, now I'm 110(less) I'm relying on you to keep this updated regularly, so I can keep up with the mods fix.

Keep up the good work.......we are watching Whistle Thumbs Up

I found the manifold through a thread on here that someone had recommended so the chap seems to have been selling them for a while. His add says they are genuine Landrover ones too. Ray

Well the house refurb took a lot longer than expected and cost a lot more than expected Big Cry so for the time being I got the allisport intercooler welded up at a local shop as there was a massive split in it. Got it fitted today so we'll see if it holds up and next year I'll stick a bas hi flow one on. Hopefully a few bits getting done in the next couple of months though. Ray

Good purchase, I've had the same one on my 110 for 6 - 7 months now with zero issues. Though I didnt risk removing the studs!

Yeah it seems to be working great, as for the studs I was a bit worried about swapping them but as one was snapped and I suspected another would snap if re-tightened I bit the bullet and went for it and to be honest it was a lot easier than I expected. Ray

My second row door hinges have started having lots of play lately so I ordered a new set that turned up today.
In primer

And all painted and clear coated

I'll leave them to harden for a couple of days before fitting them with the stainless bolts I bought from 4x4 overlander ages ago but this is all temporary until gore brings out a full 110 hinge kit.

Thanks for looking Thumbs Up Ray
