Pickles I tell you what is a good laugh to watch, and that's the citroen CV2 racing, some circuits in the uk ( might be donington) they mange to hit about 70 mph on the straight which is the highlight of the year!
the in car footages are mad mind!

The MG metro cup is fantastic to watch too, there are some right on the seat battles going on. Smile
Also the ford XR2 fiesta cup in Scotland is another good one to watch,
But not as hard core as your V8 series, which is fantastic to watch! makes our BTCC look like a support race! Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

G'Day.
Yes, if all the cars are the same in a race, and the racing is close, you don't seem to notice that the actual speed is SLOW!!
I was watching a support race a while ago, it was for small 2L diesel utes, all standard, I almost switched off the TV, but no, I started to watch it, & it was really good,....crashing, rubbing, oversteer,..all good, BUT (and glad you like it) NOT as good as our V8 Supercars!!
I watch every round,..a pretty tough series, the inclusion of Penske to the series has given it added credibility, and of course we've got the current "saga" of the sacking of Adrian Burgess from Walkinshaw Racing who lost official Holden support this year,...so it's all happening,....Darwin in a week or so,....can't wait!
Of course the other major development, waiting in the wings, is the development of a V6TT engine (it'll have to make at least 650/670HP), to run alongside V8 engined cars, supposedly from 2018, and also the possibility of the Mustang body replacing the current Falcon shell used by the Ford guys.
Lots happening!! Regards, Pickles.

The howl of those V8s are to die for!! sadly I don't think any uk circuit could take the power of one sadly, If we do would be sliverstone where the F1 is held.
CV2s are slow but they are one of those cars that you just wouldn't expect to be racing. They sound like lawn mowers, but they are cracking fun to watch. They even do a 24 hour race too which is always a favourite.
If you have an hour or two spare pickles
Here is a motors TV race for you to enjoy

Also cracking metro cup race one of my favourites! this one is in two parts. Very Happy I do know a three metro cup drivers too Smile
One was up my end of the woods 5 years ago, he was doing some electrical testing on a new factory. I asked him if he can look mine over. I tell you something pickles I really did learn a lot from him, and another one helped me with engine too, he has been in the champion ship and into metros for 20 years.
The other racer I met when I was down at MG live, He looked my car over and took a few ideas from my car. I was running a large rad. He later became the out right champion in 2015,

I know they run a K&N filter not sure how much they are tuned if they are tuned at all, Part from that I think everything else is standard. That goes for the tyres too, as far as I remember seeing. when I did see these live at Mallory park a few years ago. That race I remember they had a second driver, which they had to switch over to, bit like a LE mans race. If it was a single driver, he would have to get out of the car and get back in. That was a 30 min race that was I think.
There are some In car footages too which are cracking to watch, Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
