200 tdi gearbox issue

afternoon

putting this on for a friend he at his wits end

Was wondering if I could pick the brains of all the members for a problem that has developed with my 200tdi 90.
Over the last 6 months I have fitted a new heavy duty clutch, release bearing and clutch release fork. A while later this then caused a failure in the slave cylinder, so I fitted new slave and master cylinder. Once bled up everything was good.
However, over the last fortnight it has been getting harder and harder to get first or reverse, with me having to push quite hard to get 1st, or put up with a grind as it goes into reverse. If I start it in gear with the clutch down I can just feel a bit of drag as if just off the biting point.
I've changed the gearbox ATF as that can make gear selection harder, but that has made no difference. Just fully re-bled the system, no air at all came out.
Does anyone know what may be causing the difficult gear selection?

Thats clutch DRAG, you say heavy duty plate etc, what make ?

Did you adjust the pedal height after changing the master cylinder ?

thanks for the replies chaps I shall pass that on too him. I've a feeling he bought a blue box one. 110 double cab in belize green.
