LR radio, does it need an unlock code?
Hi,
So i sold my car a wee while ago after having swapped the head unit for a sony one and now someone wants to buy my spare. He has asked do i need an unlock code for it and im not sure, i dont have the car to test it out or any of the handbooks etc. I have attached some pics, if anyone can tell me if this radio needs a code and any way to get it if required without the car/handbook that would be great.

Yes it would have had a security code on a small card included with the handbook pack.

If you phone or visit your local dealer with the car reg number they should be able to give you the code. Some will just tell you over the phone if they know you and your car, some will require copies of log books and all sorts, some will charge you a nominal fee for it others wont bother with a fee.

thanks guys, just called the LR dealer i bought it from with the car reg and radio serial number and they said they will call back with the code soon so fingers crossed. Cheers
