Current winch looking a bit tatty (as is the tow bar and winch bumper).

The plan is to rub down and repaint. But what colour:

As close as possible to original colour
Same as 110 - Caladonian Blue
Black to match the bumper and grill
Other? 1999 Defender TD5 110

When I did mine I just when to halfords and bought a spray can of alloy wheel paint in dark grey. It was a pretty good colour match and has lasted well. It took a long time to strip the powder coat and prime but resulted in a good finish in the end

Updated from the winch work. Winch has had the remaining powder coat/paint removed with a sanding disc.
A few coats of etch primer left for 24hrs and then a good few coats of Caladonian Blue (507) and then a coat of clear coat.

Now drying again before I bolt back on the solenoid box. 1999 Defender TD5 110

That looks massively better and reminds me that I must do a similar job on the old XD9000i on my Disco 2, which is looking a bit shabby.
