I have the BAS 170 remap and have seen no change in mpg (either way) after 15,000 miles.

That's interesting. I usually get 26 - 27 mpg using the truck for work. Some towing. All lane driving.

I'll work out mpg once I've got the new map and report back. 2009 2.4TDCi XS Utility Wagon.

I track mine with Fuelly.com

I find it was an easy way to spot when the Disco was feeling rough or wanted an oil change.

Well first tank of fuel. 23mpg but that's with about 100miles of towing 2.5tonne, a few evenings out in the fields shooting and a short 100mph spat to make sure the speed limiter had been removed. I'm hopeful for my 2nd tank as my driving is back to normal after testing the map.

I got a BAS remap on my Puma in 2011 (1 year into ownership). It paid itself in fuel savings within the first 2 years Thumbs Up --

I have the BAS remap on my 2.4, I also use the Roadtrip App to record fuel usage. When I first got the 90 I was averaging 26/27 mpg using Shell V Power, after the remap I consistently average 29/30 mpg using the same fuel.

Over 15k miles I've averaged 23.5 mpg in the 110 since the remap.
The best tank it's done in that time is 24.5 mpg and the worst is 22.

Most of that is on the motorway however which is what keeps the mpg down,

Good call. With a remap it's all too easy and comfortable to go too fast, which drinks the fuel. James

my own experience with td5 was first 40k miles around 26mpg mixed, next 60k miles 29mpg with remap. but then that could of been the running in toooo!

had a VW that did std 36mpg, after remap did 45mpg on same 1000mile weekly commute so comparable over 50k miles.

muy experience with Puma is better mpg once mapped unless you use the extra grunt, like towing when i typically saw lower mpg with remap than towing without remap.

Something else to ponder, as elduded to. transfer box is 1.2std on Puma, fit a 1.4 if you want better pick up (but will give more revs at cruising.

I have a 2007 std tune with a 1.4 t box on 33" tyres. it does tows better than my 2.4, 1.2 remapped on 31" tyres. and uses less fuel towing or not. GPS miles on both. Cheers

Defender TD5
Dynachip Stage 1 - MPG went from 23ish to 25ish
TD5inside Stage 2 - MPG went from 25ish to 29ish on a good week

These are obviously after the initial week or so when you're putting your foot down a bit...

Discovery 3
BAS 'stage 1' remap - MPG actually went down from 26ish to 23ish MPG Sad That backfired but huge difference in responsiveness (wouldn't change it).

I use an app to log mileage so can verify all on both vehicles (only TD5 below).

I'm not sure, thought there was only one BAS map for the 2.4. Think its the 165bhp and 440Nm.

The engine is sweet but when using the extra torque it highlights my drivetrains issues. Gotta get them sorted this summer. 2009 2.4TDCi XS Utility Wagon.

As my right foot gets lighter my average mpg is going up. Back to 26mpg now and that's with me still using most of the grunt and occasionally driving like I stole it on a quite A road. BAS Intercooler next so see what difference that makes. 2009 2.4TDCi XS Utility Wagon.
