Hello L110CDL,
Is the canvas tilt the metal strip behind the rear window(is that what u mean)

I have actually got a black exmoor trim canvas stored at work atm ready to put on at the end of summer Thumbs Up that's the reason I've left it on.
Thumbs Up
I must admit though it probably would look better but I don't know weather there is any point taking it off just for the summer Very Happy

No, the canvas tilt is the hood and sticks Wink You got it on your 90 in one of your earlier pics when you was playing around somewhere Whistle The black tilt will be a great look, cant wait to see that on when the end of summer is upon us Cool 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

Mines usually carrying dogs, goods in the rear or timber on the roof bars. Or trailer on and with various building goods in it or about 18 small hay bales. Also been useful for getting rid of scrap metal too, practically worthless now though. Most recent heavier stuff I've taken is slabs in the back at nearing 300kg. Never really need to take large quantities of items in one go as it takes a lot of volume. 😂
Bloody glad I've got at least an 8x4ft trailer so I can take building size sheets in it at ease. A bigger trailer would be more of a pain to keep for me as having the room to manoeuvre it, would just be overkill for me. Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

Thanks
I go greenlaning quite often, so it might be a little hassle!

If greenlanes are overgrown in the summer you are officially allowed to cut the hedgerow back the cars width, just take the hedge cutter with me Rolling with laughter

Sounds good to me, but will the hedge cutter be manual or petrol Whistle If the manual option is used, you will be there all day Laughing 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

Yes, legally you can cut back (but you mustn't remove the arisings), but it is illegal to 'go equipped', so technically if you intentionally set out with the hedgecutter because you expect to have to cut back vegetation you are committing an offense. If you have a good reason for having one with you and then decide to use it, you're in the clear!

We have some very obscure laws.

I don't doubt said law is from quite a while back, I'd imagine it won't be 5 mins before the farmer or land owner will be on your case too. Rolling Eyes

Near me leaving hedges to overgrow is a popular tactic to prevent bikers and Greenlanders from using ROW's by landowners and tennant farmers and the like.
Some don't, but most do.

That's if you don't destroy all your tyre's with glass and various criminal dumpings regularly deposited. Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

RE hedge cutting - farmers aren't allowed to cut hedges after 1st March or before 1st September to minimise harm to nesting birds. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews
