The RS one arrived yesterday and works perfectly Thumbs Up
Only needed to swap the nipple connector
Thanks to All again... Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

haha, I've just come here to say don't buy the RS one it's a complete pig!

I've spent the last half hour under my Defender cursing the wretched thing. To start with, having slagged off the grease we use at work, it ran out on the first nipple so I had to fill it up, the plus side being I've now got some decent grease in it. On one of the rear nipples it actually engaged properly (you have to be able to get on pretty straight) and grease came out from two bits of the UJ. On the other rear one I got it out of one of the 4 bits of UJ. I couldn't get it on either of the front ones because the nipple is slightly angled and is also pointing at the yoke.

When I push hard with it, grease leaks out the back too. This is the first time I've ever actually tried greasing Defender UJs, but compared to tractor PTO UJs using a normal lever action gun the RS one fails miserably.

I'm now off to search for what to do when you only get grease out of part of the UJ.

The only thing you can do is to take it out and strip it down and clean the spider and put it all back together again.

OK, thanks.
It would be a good exercise for me to do on the driveway so I know what to do in case I ever have to somewhere less pleasant.
