Mine in the battery compartment isn't that loud...

It's not like I've ever had to use it when people are trying to sleep around me, but I suppose that could happen in a camp site? Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...

Perhaps I badly described what i meant.

Thinking silent coat or similar to deaden any noises while driving from the stuff stored within. I'm not worried about the noise it would make when running. Keith

I have installed the biggest T-Max one behind the driver side headlight with a pressure switch.
It works well but was such a complete pain to fit there I doubt I'd do it again. I also think I'd buy the ARB high output single one next time. The reasons being:

The ARB is much more efficient. Under load at 30PSI they have about the same air output but the ARB claims 25A draw and the T-Max 45A. The drop in output between no pressure and 30PSI is also much smaller on the ARB.

The ARB includes a pressure switch and controls as part of the package. By the time you've added that to the T-Max, the cost is approaching that of the ARB and without a pressure switch they're a massive faff to use.

The ARB is smaller, so easier to fit in to the engine bay. The reason I have my compressor installed in the engine bay is because I've run out of space out of the way in the vehicle.
