My Back Door is suffering
Now you have read the title and hopefuly had a laugh the serious bit follows.

The back door or Safari door on my 110Tdi CSW is not in the rudest of health. In fact I would go as far as to say it is clinging on to life (barely).

I suspect that its replacement will most likely come from SP 4x4 as I dont want a 2nd hand one which could be a bag of (tin) worms.

The big question is this, is the later one piece door as used on Puma types compatible with the 300Tdi and is it worth the extra money.

The question of it needing a new piee of glass is not an issue as I have been running a temporary glazing system for longer than I care to think about after the better half rammed it shut round a buggy handle.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this one. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

Yes it is. I plan to do exactly the same swap although my drivers door is more of a priority at the moment. That'll also be swapped for a later version although it's proving a sod to find a decent second hand one. I may eventually have to buy new Rolling Eyes Darren

Thanks LRA. I do have a spare wheel carrier which should take some of the load off but couldn't help but think that a one piece door would be stronger especially given where mine is going. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

Hi,
I got a new safari door from SP4x4, fitted it no problems, after having it painted. really pleased with it. Couldn't have done it without seeing/reading others reviews, fitting advise etc provided by this forum.Hopefully doing the front doors next with the series door conversion kit.
