Bfg km3
I saw this yesterday and it was time I've seen anything and a km3. A quick Google and they have been testing them this last year and should be out for release later this year. I think they look smart.

Tread looks okay but not keen on the sidewalls.

I'm in the market fir new tyre's again this year, I'm definitely going for KM2.

Okay, asthetics really but they'd need to be damn good to beat the KM2.

I noticed some of the review posts only suggest the km3 as being more "composed" by slipping slightly rather than hopping on rock.
Now, does that do a tyre good spinning on rocks? No.
Suggests to me, that it has less grip instead.

The KM2 wouldn't hop if ran in a low enough Torque gear and diff locked.

So for me, I'm quite happy to stick to KM2 regardless.
I think it was a hop up from the MT previous to the KM2, but the KM3 I'm not sold on.
Looks like a slightly rewirked version of the new ATR and less aggressive than the KM2.
Only thing that seems good to me is the tread. Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

Hi, I was at the Moab Easter Jeep Safari last week and asked at the BFG stall if there was anything interesting due out soon. The nice lady told me the KM3 was indeed due in around a year or so. Bearing in mind that will be the US release, they will not be available in the UK for 18mths to 2 years.

We had an interesting chat about wheel sizes and the move away from traditional 15 and 16" rims. They envisage most of their sales to be for 17, 18 and even 20".

Steve,
I don't think the KM3 will have less grip, just as said "less likely to hop" and bounce which is definitely not needed.

I saw some great technical driving including shifting to 2wd high while stuck on a climb. The controlled spin of both rear tyres allowed the rear to slide round and realign the approach, while the front end stayed still. Reselect low 4wd and then over the rocks. No chance of doing that in Defender! Really impressive, they are the guys BFG are designing tyres for, as well as us occasional muddy lane drivers.

Almost looks like a "Trac Edge". Maybe after 10 years they've seen the light😂🤣
