Td5 injectors
As far as i can tell Bosch made the original injectors for my td5. I have been advised that I may need one or more of my injectors refurbing (as it sounds to be dragging apparently) so my plan was to buy a new set and replace them and if I ever have the same problem I can get my originals refurbed and always have a spare set.i need my motor most days so taking them out and sending them off won't really work, so on to my question. I've seen some new injectors for sale from intermotor that are advertised for my year defender, so does anyone know if these are a good quality make and they should be fine or if I should avoid?

Any opinions welcome Thumbs Up

Cheers

Having recently been through some injector woes.......

Try and avoid anything that is non-genuine- its not worth the hassle.

Not tried inter motor myself- however I spoke to my local independent about them, and whilst they can buy them, they aren't willing to due to past issues.

I believe the injectors in a Td5 are made by Delphi.

There are some reconditioning firms around that might be worth investigating, like United Diesel etc.

Anyone got any experiences with recon injectors?

^^^ I get quite a few done by PowerDrive in Portsmouth, most recent were a set for a Nissan Cabstar,
Not cheap at just over £600 for the 4 but much cheaper than new units.

Sometimes the prices quoted for new ones by different Dealers are simply not an option,
I've always had them refurbished and never had issues. 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Super quick reply to my email;

Quote:
Good afternoon,

Many thanks for your enquiry.

There are two options.

Standard service/ recondition of your injectors are £125each +vat

Service exchange units are £175 +vat

There are 2 main types so we would need to confirm , but the quote above is for the most likely units and most common ones.

Should you need any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards,

They are great to deal with, and their work has always been spot on Thumbs Up
They have just done a Ford Cargo fuel pump, which was perfect.

We are a good hour from them and their salesman "Merv" is first class, he came up from Southsea to Newbury at the drop of a hat to collect some injectors, 2 days later they were back on my bench!

We do have local injector specialist but I choose to use PowerDrive simply down to their outstanding service.
