TD5 to Disco 2 V8 Swap
Hi all,

I thought I would create a thread about my current project. It started off as a 110 TD5 Utility however it is slowly changing to a 110 V8 with an auto box, along with a 4" lift and a conversion to the later TDCi interior. I know some people may not agree with the auto box but the car will be used in and around London and pressing the clutch 200 times a day can get tiresome.

The TVR body looks like it'd fit nicely on that chassis Whistle Darren

£25/day announced by Mr Kahn just yesterday for any diesel over four years old by the time of introduction in 2019. Almost every Def. Hopefully all London owners will swap to V8s and the economies of scale will mean a refit only cost a couple of hundred quid and a bag of crisps.... Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

I'm not entirely sure the tvr ethos would work with the defender chassis 😂

I've just read that petrol engine cars must be of Euro4 rating, something this engine won't be. However I don't plan on entering the ULEZ just the LEZ so it should be fine.

I find it strange that a large majority of cars will not be allowed into the ULEZ, I wonder if classic cars and bikes will be exempt.

That engine is certainly sweet - only gutted that it was an auto or it would have been the start of my V8 into a Defender project Big Cry
