I plan to service my 200tdi 90 for the first time and need some advice on which brand and spec of engine oil, gearbox / transfer box oil and diff oils to use please?
I only do around 2-3k miles pa if that makes any difference.

Here you go, straight from the manual.

I use semi-synthetic 10W40 oil in mine, just standard cheap stuff from the motor factors. I buy it in drums as I'm doing the 6k service every 6-7 weeks but doing such a small mileage as yours I would change engine oil annually.

Edit: Uploaded wrong pic! Corrected now.

Also, bear in mind the manual was written in 1993. As such don't worry too much about brands, just get the right type of oil and you'll be fine.

Thanks for the info. I've read somewhere that recommended gearbox oil had moved on to Mtf 94 is that right ?

Yes, though many (myself included) still run ATF. It's certainly easier to get hold of and some LT77 boxes seem to prefer it, while others run better on the MTF94.
