LOL,, Need to adjust the viewing setting Stacey, to get the correct side Smile

I've no idea why the image is 'flipped' and no settings to un flip it (can anyone help)

It still works ace as I can see the back where the step and towbar is so can back up mighty close to anything behind... Thumbs Up

Would it be possible to get some updated viewing angles.

Will be installing a reverse camera shortly.

I am interested if possible picture of view;

1. Above rear washer jet
2. Below rear number light
3. Alternative mouting view for reverse parking visability

Camera Video Frame rate: 720P@30FPS, Lens Viewing Angle: 150 Degrees

I've just invested in an Americam Reversing Camera Kit ref. K21 (GRC002) for my 2005 Defender 110 Td5 Station Wagon and it looks very good. It's the one with the bulkier camera ref. C2.

My questions are:

1) Where is the best position to fix the camera?

2) Where is the best place to fix the monitor?

As far as cameras go if you mount it on magnets you can put it exactly where you want when reversing a trailer. It is then simple to change the view when you need to. Obviously not great if you want to stick it to the ali body though !

I have found top of the rear door to be best as doesn’t’ get muddy. But it still needs a cloth run over it every now and again.

I stuck a small camera under the number/license plate light. Easy to drill the plastic, and run the cables inside.

I mounted a small screen above the rear mirror. I purchased a a door push (Rectangular piece of aluminium), cut it to length, bent it to the contour of the roof, painted it, and fitted it between the mirror and the interior light. Painted it black as the roof lining was black. Done;t have a photo of this - sorry.

Then fitted a switch in the cup holder, in the cubby box.

Since this, I have another Defender and it came with double din and camera fitted inside the rear cross member.

The head unit i am using allows me to adjust the assisted parking markers so i can accomodate based on mounted viewing angle.

I located the camera inside of the rear cross member hole. It's a well-protected spot and easy to wire.
