Cleaning a standard black headlining....
So.... my vehicle is an XS. It has the black head lining.

I hadn't quite realised it would come with this. But it has. And I like it. So it's staying. Thumbs Up

HOWEVER!!! Very Happy

It's now been round the Pyrenees, and is quite literally smothered in dust. It's less black, more a sort of black with a light brown hue!

I've tried gently hoovering it with a soft brush attachment. This has a small effect, but to be honest it's hardly back to as new again.

What else have people used and tried?

Try masking tape, get the really wide stuff or one of those pet hair rollers loaded with sticky tape. Then just stick and peel off or if a roller just roll, should remove most of the dust, worked on my wife’s Mini when she left the window open in a strong wind at the beach and the headlining got covered in fine sand as did the seats, worked on them as well.. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

A damp cloth will do it. Or a bit of interior shampoo if you wanted to freshen it up too.

When on dusty roads and not driving into dust I keep the aircon on intake (not recirculate) to create positive pressure in the cabin.
I find it reduces dust intake to the cabin.
