Well we had a look at the old girl on sunday

1st of all it does not start even with 2 batteries to help turn it over. No puffs from the exhaust so guess its a fuel issue atm

2nd is the chassis inspection so out with the hammer & pry bar Cool

We found the rear half has plenty of rot Shocked . The replacement X member its had in the past we put the hammer through it Sad The front out riggers are shot also.

I have seen on ebay that you can buy a complete half chassis. Anybody done this yet??

We wont start this project for a while yet but thinking what to do. Until its all in bits we cant fully inspect Chris

I think that if you have tested the metal on the chassis and you have put some extra holes in it Laughing i would go for a new one, save you the agro in the long run Whistle Thumbs Up 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.
