This weird fuse holder
Gents

Does anyone know the use of this useless weird looking fuse on the + cable running to the battery?
I like to know is it safe to remove it? and run without it?

its a mega fuse designed to blow if you get a short to earth on the positive cable before the cable melts or the battery explodes or the car catches fire , no problem removing it but you loose all the protection mentioned if you do get an earth on the main cable DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy

Makes total sense thank you. So one can use a different type fuse then instead if you like. Like an inline one.
What Amps would you recommend? And then I would assume to place it first inline out from out of the batteries + terminal.

If you open it, the rating should be printed on the fuse its self.
