UK-PORTUGAL CIRCUIT
Hi folks,

Planning to take 4 weeks this summer, & head down overland with the family to explore Portugal, before heading back through East Spain, Pyrenees & back through France.

Does anyone have any GPS tracks/routes or links? I've looked on Wikiloc & there's lots but would like to back it up with routes that folk have verified themselves. Ideally looking for green lane/gravel tracks etc not main highways.

Also interested in any great wild camping spots, nice campsites or 'must see' recommendations!

Thanks in advance.

Thumbs Up

Camping spots in Portugal:
http://www.campingrosario.com/ is lovely.
http://engcampingasseiceira.weebly.com/ is lovely too, but not quite so lovely as Camping Rosario. Toilets are better at the second one.

Well, just back yesterday from our Portugal adventure!
What a brilliant trip - just under 4000 miles, 4 countries and most of our North South Portugal crossing was properly offroad on stunningly good tracks.

In total 28 days away, 25 under canvas in our rooftent (2 adults, 3 kids and 40kg dog), temperatures as high as 39c and a "diverse" selection of camping, ranging from rough to simply awesome.

After our N-S Portugal crossing we added a W-E leg because it was so lovely before crossing Spain for a couple of days beach time near Barcelona, then 3 days in the Pyranees and couple of days through W France again!

Big thanks to those who helped etc (you know who you are buddy Smile )

I am planning a trip to Portugal this year, LittleFoot’s route last summer looks great. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
