I think I've read that a few people have fitted an iphone charger lead into their after-market puma glovebox.
I'd like to do similar to avoid my knuckles rapping the usb end when changing gear. How have people wired up the USB end? I was looking to see if there was a rear USB on the CDE 133bt but from what I can find it is a front USB only...? Main aim is for charging purposes - at the moment I've got the USB end plugged into an adapter in the 12v socket and keep bashing it when shifting into 5th (possibly due to my innate clumsiness). Plus it would look neater if hidden.  110 UW - '15 2.2

there are a number of mini USB hard wire kits for dash cams that would work perfectly if your need is mini USB GOOGLE dash cam hard wire kit DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

Thanks LR90 but I need it to end in an Apple Lightning connector to charge an iPhone 6.

Use a hardwired standard USB socket. BlueSea do some good panel mounted solutions. Check out 4x4 overlanders offerings.
Then you can just plug in your normal lighting charging cable to USB. Lighting male to your phone. USB male to female USB socket. You can take your power feed from the lighter socket feeds from behind, they are then ignition switched too so no risk of battery drain. Just bear in mind there will be a draw on there, regardless of normal use for anything you may use. You can do this I'd have thought for under 30 max. Is that another cable in the background?
You can take feeds from the rear of the dash Dow to under carpet / matting just either side of the trans tunnel. There is a nice void just to the upper side to the left of the clutch on the Puma for plenty of stuff too. Some people remove the lighter socket sad fit twin USB sockets in there too.
