Well done that man. Is the captive nut the same part number as the door hinge captive nuts?
Always meant to do this small job as some other gorilla has some what gnarled the threads up on my engine. |

That looks to be the kind of M8 cage nut used on all 19" electronic equipment racks and cabinets (in which case the ebay price is pretty outrageous). It is not the same as the door fixings.

Good job the weak pound, my inability to get an IT rack cage nut similar and it just fitted, mean it is off my small but annoying list.

Standard rack nuts aren't the same, too small.
