Looks good, but I wouldn't have it as it would make the car too hot in good weather, and too much condensation in cold weather.

A much better option which I would go for (if there were such thing) is a second, opening sunroof, like the series 2 discos used to have, preferably with a blind.

I always get the feeling that these glass roofs on modern vehicles are just to hide how badly designed the vehicle is from the perspective of rear passengers. Think how dark the back of an Evoque is, or some of the 'almost coupe' cars like the Merc A. So dark in the back and with no outward visibility you get car sick.

That said, I had a Polo with the full length vinyl sunroof. Loved driving with that much air coming in. Shame about the concussion suffered by anyone in the back, but I was always in the front Whistle

Took the Freelander into the LR dealers yesterday afternoon for its service and had a good look around the showroom. They had a very nice Range Rover Sport by the window and that had the large panoramic roof. It was very nice I must say but boiling inside Rolling Eyes Saying that, thoughts of a trade in did occur briefly Whistle but then the Defender drove so beautifully on the Autoroute there and back they soon passed.

No matter how good VGS are, And I shall be buying tinted side windows plus the rear single pane for my DC, I wonder more about the flex in a Def roof, especially a 110, and whether there'd be a risk of the seal between the roof and panoramic frame, breaking/popping. Lateral windows aren't too bad in that regard, we all live with leaks, but a tiny bit of ingress from the top in to your headlining, disaster. Appreciated RRs etc have them, but they're much stiffer monocoques. You can see and hear the roof flexing on a def, would you trust it to stay in place? As Riverboy said as well, here with the sun and heat I'm sticking with a solid (black Rolling with laughter ) roof, but fully insulated and lined. Tinted windows on all other areas Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

Lol.
But in Aus, we've got lots of sun & heat,...40C is common.
I love sunroofs, Wifey's got a panoramic roof in her Audi RS3,.....but it can be closed.
I'm sure the workmanship on this glass would be A1, but I would definitely need a blind to shut out the sun when required,...I reckon in the UK, there would be days when too much heat entered the vehicle.
Pickles.

my sunroof suffers terribly from condensation. so bad you actually get wet if you don't dry it off first. I imagine this would be horrendous! My 109 thread
