Alpine cde 133bt microphone not working
Hello all, As the title would suggest, I have only just hooked up the microphone to the alpine head unit, though the incoming caller can not hear any reply through the microphone.
The microphone is a genuine part, securely inserted and well placed.
Perhaps there is a setting or a volume adjustment somewhere.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance....

Are you sure it's in the correct socket as there are two on the back of the head unit. From memory it's the unlabelled one which is for the mic.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

As Martin suggests, it's worth checking you are using the upper socket.

In this picture, the lower socket (REM) has a removable blank in it.

Hope it helps.

Many thanks for the quick reply guys.
I have the mic plugged into the hole, thanks for the photo reference.
I have also removed the headunit to check for loose wires, which there was none, now time to check which part if any are faulty.

The microphone gain level can be adjusted using the Option menu settings. There is also a microphone mute setting which you can switch on and off during a call, maybe this is in the off position. Best bet is to download the user manual which gives instructions for both of these settings. I can pm you a pdf copy if you want. Defender 90XS SW

Thanks again for the reply, I will check out the user manual, and adjust accordingly.
