I would agree. Sounds like Dpf regen. Had me crawling about underneath the first time regen was in operation as I pulled in the drive.

I've had this aswell, 2013 XS 90. No idea what causes it but it does smell a bit like the handbrake left gently on, except it wasn't. 2.2 90 XS
