Egr valve 2.2 puma
2.2 puma egr removal is this an easy job and does a strip and clean usually work

If it's anything like the 2.4 Puma it's conceptually pretty easy but access to some of the bolts is tricky and they're probably quite hard to undo.

It took me hours to get mine out, then was very quick to put back in again once I'd worked out the correct angle to put the spanners at. I had two sizes of socket set, flex head ratchets, flex head rings, offset rings... basically most kings of spanner that you could use. Ended up doing the difficult bolt with a standard combination spanner in the end.

Cleaning mine didn't help.

reguarding cleaning I used Valvoline egr cleaner it worked well . but been told brake cleaner is good too

Is the EGR valve sitting at the right hand side of the inlet manifold?
I see a flange (2 bolts) at the inlet is that enough or is there a bracket at the underside?
I cannot move anything.

It looks different as the pipe hereunder. It is coverd with isolation webbeding
