530 Defenders stolen...
530 Defenders in the past five years stolen in Yorkshire....
Shocking. There must be workshops, gangs and an organisation behind many of them.

Not all Yorkshire - just West Yorkshire. Scary stuff, how many were stolen in the whole of Yorkshire?

According to my information 9 Defenders were stolen in the first week of August 2016 in West Yorkshire. I know 2 of the owners who had their vehicles stolen. What is the value of 9 Defenders? Ģ200-250,000?

Backend of 2016 a lockup was raided in Sowerby Bridge, two stolen Defenders recovered and apparently 20 chassis with VIN on. Now the person apparently associated with that is rumoured to be associated with shall we say dodgy dealings. A police officer told me that 2 lockups had been raided in Sowerby Bridge.

The police and the court system do not consider the theft of Defenders as serious crime. I would argue that the theft of Defenders is organised crime. A stolen vehicle going to a chop shop or being shipped abroad in a container is not down to an impulse theft but shows organisation.

Brendan... Remember that these people are from underprivileged back grounds and they need a cuddle and maybe a free flat and maybe some benefits to help them survive in the modern world...

Well Tim, where did I go wrong?

Where is my cuddle and free flat? Brought up on a council estate, product of a single parent family with both brothers in extra special schools so I want my cuddle and free flat etc! Razz

Personally I would like to see a certain part of scumbag anatomy in between two bricks being brought together at speed Whistle

Some people would like to see hands chopped off, whilst I understand that sentiment I do not side with that view as even smaller chance of them doing something useful in society.
