Bushpig, thanks for the speedy reply.

Still a bit confsed. According to the diagram the red wire is +12V to LED (Most LED's are 3V).

Where do the Orange and Green Wires go? When I put a multi-meter on them I get +12V on the orange and +12V(CC off) or +3V (CC on) on the green.

Where did you need to change the orange wire to?

After a bit more fiddling I have managed to sort out the red/green wiring and get the LED to light when the CC is on.

Now I just need to help know where to locate the orange wire in the CC connector for when the CC is SET. The position on the LP document doesnt seem to work. Again, I may be missing something. Confused

I've used a RGB LED...
The red wire is the + feed, green for green light, orange for red light
The red light only flashes on when the CC is changing function ie: setting or when using the stalk to accelerated or decelerate (like in the manual, when checking the functioning of the unit.
Basically this extra LED functions exactly like the LED's on the CC control box.
Don't stress as to the voltage, as the CC control box has internal resistors to protect the LED.
I used this LED http://za.rs-online.com/web/p/visible-leds/2285770/?sra=pstk

Wired like so...

I had already removed all the unused wires before deciding on the extra LED.
So if my memory serves correct, the orange wire needs to be moved one position to the right (looking at the connector from the wire side). in other words, it should be in the top right of the connector. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
