2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 HT Keswick Green

Absolute noob audio enquiry

Hello

My Defender came installed with a Pioneer MVN 180UI. I've already snapped something off it by mistake and i'd like to upgrade to a bluetooth in any event. I want to buy a Alpine CDE 133BT, and need to know if I need to purchase anything else along with the Alpine unit wiring wise? A local Defender specialist will be installing for me but the deal is I get all the bits to him. Is there any chance the Pioneer unit will come out and the correct connections be in place for the Alpine?

You may be lucky, and it be a simple unplug/plug in job.

Worst case they might have to cut and splice the new loom in.

In any event as long as the new headunit is new boxed and sealed it will come with the correct loom to wire into the vehicle

For a 2008 Puma it will have DIN ISO wiring connectors as standard.
This will match the Alpine, or at least should out of the box.
Defender - male plugs. Alpine - female connector.

If anything more simple than many cars out there as the 1 DIN slot is present with no fascia adapters needed nor any wiring loom adapters.
Post 2012 of course you do need a loom adapter.
