Info for James,
One of the great benefits of the demountable is that if we find a place we like and want to explore, then we can have the cabin off in about 20 minutes and use the defender to poddle about in. It is great for exploring out of the way beached etc. or going into cites. We tend only to demount when in a proper campsite just to avoid any issues with thieves or police etc. though to be honest the cabin is really secure. We are taking the Ferry to santander, we have driven all the way before and it is boring after the third or fourth trek through France. I love camping in France but that's a summer thing. I worked out that it is cheaper to make the ferry crossing (£350 inc cabin on board for two) than pay for fuel (23 mpg when loaded) and tolls. It is a great way to go . There is a decent restaurant and the cabins are fine. 24 hrs later there you are in Spain.
As for remap costs, the website has the prices, though the VAT is a  . Insurance via Camptons was not affected at all.
