Power loss on my 89 defender (2.5 Deisel)
Hi all
I have noticed in the last couple of days that my defender looses power for a second or two when I put my foot down. It is almost like the wind has caught me it soon picks up but I have a longish journey to undertake soon so its a bit of a concern.
The engine idles OK and there is no misfire or change in sound.
Could it be as simple as something like an air filter?

Thanks in advance

Cheers. N/A? The turbo sounds like a nightmare.

N/A = Naturally aspirated engine with no turbo and air inter cooler rad !

1. check air filter

2. fuel filler blocked

3. fuel lift pump
