Some very sophisticated car washing systems there,... which look better than the ones I've seen in Aus, but being "downunder", yes,....bikini ladies doing the carwash thing is a regular occurrence.
However, I wouldn't let our 90 anywhere near any car wash, even if it did have the best bikini ladies.
I've never used a car wash, and one of the main reasons, apart from the aggresive nature of car washs, is that I actually prefer to do the job myself. I take my time, I might take all day, but I find it therapeutic.

Well, we have had like 4 weeks in a row pretty cold day time temps, hovering just above zero. My favorite local car wash, the Kärcher on page one of this thread, automatically shuts down when ambient temps drop to +5°C or lower, so it has not worked for all that time. The SVX started to look pretty dusty without a wash for about 5 or 6 weeks, so today I returned to my second favorite car wash which is fully enclosed and heated, and I happily let Christ do its magic.

I don't think the SVX needs any microfiber cloths, but here is my magic tool to dry it after the car wash. An old soft cotton beach towel, freshly washed, will suffice to do the entire truck, starting with windows, then gradually working from top down. After one use, back in the laundry and ready for next time.

End result pretty acceptable I think for an 8.5 years young truck which has never been hand washed or microfibered in its life. Laughing

So it is ready to go to the dealer tomorrow for installing the first mod of 2017. Whistle It never end, does it? Shocked

Truck still looks amazing, especially considering no special hand washing or polishing!

One of my brother-in-laws 'Dad jokes' from yesterday I thought you might appreciate (and probably heard numerous times)...

What are the advantages of living in Switzerland?

Well the flag is a big plus. Rolling with laughter Whistle James

Discovered this brand new touchless car wash system. Seems the perfect system for our Defenders, no?
Or, are there some drawbacks that I did not think of? Mr. Green Laughing

I think it also washes the Defender interior all in one go. Rolling with laughter
