TD5 EGR Cooler Return Pipe
Hi all,

Small problem after fitting an EGR removal kit to the 110. I've managed to damage the cooler return pipe by leaving it a little close to the fan when the engine was running! Can I cut it off past the damage and then blank it off (if so with what)? Or do I need to replace it despite the EGR being removed?

Thanks in advance.

I removed the pipe. I was going to take it off all the way around to the 'what's its name' under the exhaust manifold -but as an interim step I just took it off to the fuel cooler.

Remove the whole lot, use a bolt and a jubilee clip to seal up the coolant hoses in the short while. Long term you can remove the pipe that runs round the back of the engine to the oil cooler. You'll loose just under a litre of coolant capacity but nothing to be concerned with.
