Biggest tyres in standard puma 100
Hi everyone.

Just wondering what people are running tyre wise on stock suspension.

What's the largest tyres size that can be used without using a +2 lift.

As I'm looking at 315/85 r15 's at the moment

Thanks for any help

255/85R16 (33"), or if you want wider then 285/75R16.

They will need the steering lock stops adjusting, the wider the worse the steering gets.

Turning circle will depend on the off set of the rims as well, I'm running 285/75R16 and have a better lock than standard on 0 offset rims. Never had any arch fouling and we just came off the ferry ramps fully loaded with building supplies and definitely hit the bumps stops but nothing else.

Lorryman (Brian) runs 305/75R16 IIRC with no fouling issues but not sure of the rim he's using, as the tyre manufacturers and experts on here all agree that you should only run up to a 265 on std alloys, although people do run wider.

Are you sure 315/85 R15 is the correct tyre size?

According to my calculation that would be a 36 inch tyre diameter which will not fit on a Defender without suspension modifications.

255/85/16 is 33 inch diameter tyre which will fit on standard suspension.
