For anyone thinking of using AN fittings with stainless braided hose, for an oil return line. Don't!

Unless the engines on a nice stand of course Wink

Sorry about the double post.

The problem I've had with the standard AN fittings is you have to be absolutely sure of the hose length before you add the hose ends. In the case of the oil return, because there's so little space available, the hose length has to be bang on, neither too long or too short. It's tricky scrabbling around underneath a sump trying to measure up distance from a new turbo to my oil return point on the sump. Add in the act of cutting the stainless hose leaving no barbs or fraying and some serious faffing to make the ends fit, and eventually 'push-fit' fittings with easy to cut rubber hose seem an altogether better idea!

If it's too short, it won't fit. Ask me how I know this Embarassed

Guessing your turbo comes with oil lines Matt?

Also I emailed ARP and they came back with a custom stud diagram/spreadsheet, haven't placed any order yet but would you be interested in a set?

Yes the turbo kits include a full fitting kit. I don't have one yet... It's on the to buy list Laughing

Id definitely be interested in some ARPs. I have emailed a few uk suppliers but none have got back to me yet..(probably because of the Christmas break).

Any info on a cometic gasket?

Hope everyone's well! A minor update i decided to open up the intake manifold a bit and up the boost pipe size from 2" to 2.5" to match.

Finally sorted the oil lines with some nice push-lock hose, far better! Bow down

Not sure if anyone's done this but they must have, seems like a good way of increasing airflow but I could be completely wrong, done now anyway Thumbs Up
