which inline fuel solenoid for protection?
Am after recommendations for a fuel cut-off solenoid so I can protect my Defender a little more. Have seen this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Petrol-diesel-fu...SwgQ9VjCw-
but not a fan of the plastic bits - a metal version of this would be ideal.

This is available http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fuel-Cutoff-sole...yZOY4HVeOw
but is a lot for what it is.

Anyone got one or some ideas?

I've got a rally-style battery isolator (Red plastic key on passenger seatbox) installed in mine as a precaution if that's any help?

thanks. got that (well, a different sort, but similar principle). Got batteries locked away, got x-defend pedal lock, got some weird immobiliser that I don't trust and will rip out soon, but might replace with another but might build my own, and might have disklok too - but they are too bulky for easy storage. Oh, and smart water marked all the parts. And....

but want a little more protection Laughing

I'd keep with the advantages of old school tech and inherent reliability with the 200tdi, alter the fuel line and put a manual 1/4 turn ball valve by the side of the seat or somewhere easy access but unexpected, plus a two position switch that puts power to the starter solenoid or to a loud horn!

that's why I like the plastic one I linked too, as it does have an override - but by being electric, I can hid it really well out of the way.....

with by seat is too easy to find, and the strange pipe routing gives it away..... and if you hide the switch really well, then it's hard to use in everyday usage and so won't be used......
