Oil breather causing higher oil consumption
Hi

My 300tdi has 155k km on the clock. It doesn't leak oil and there is no sump compression.
But my air line going to the turbo has oil in it. All the piping has a wet coating of oil.
The breather is clean, in fact I can't see anything inside, it's empty.
I was under the impression that the breather has gauss to catch the oil vapor.

I use Magnatec 5w40, and the oil consumption is 500ml per 3000km.

Is there a way to get the breather more effective.

Thanks.
