Hi 100inch,

Where does one find the main power relay? I've posted that I've had this momentary cut off issue and am scheduled to change out the VCV, can't hurt, right? But I'd like to check the main power relay as well.

Thanks!

Just to update everyone, had the VCV changed and ran very well for two weeks before the problem presented itself again. After some head scratching, we decided to replace the main relay and check the main earth point. Upon checking the battery, it seems that the negative connection was still bit loose despite it rocking the truck when you check but apparently if you move it side to side, there is a bit of play so loosened it then pushed down hard on the connection then re-tightened. All good. Truck running like a champ now much more quiet and stronger. I was also advised to go with V-Power diesel as it's a better Euro 4 fuel compared to Fuel Save?

I put this together to carry for reference in my 2007 Puma. It might be of use.

If anyone stumbles across this in the future, check the battery connections. Mine were loose

Sorry for the delay getting back! Yes it is one of the grey ones. I have all my electrics moved in the cubby box and could easily feel how hot it got. Hope yours is running fine by now. m

I know I'm resurrecting on old post but I've now got the same problem with my 2010 110.
Happening more often now and always seems to be when changing up into 3rd gear soon after starting ,hot or cold and within the first mile or so but at random times.
I've checked the battery connections and they're solid an a rock, I'll order a new stater relay tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed but there are no Landy specialists around this part of France and I've no access to any diagnostic gear.
I've got a couple of long distance drives coming up and the last thing I need is to be stranded with the other half and two dogs in the middle of nowhere.
Any other things I could look out for?
Thanks in anticipation.

Pete

Check the under seat relay connections are all tight.

That's what the problem was with mine. Barney

Thanks for that Barney,
Had the seat up this morning and gave everything a good wiggle, all seemed ok but I'll replace the relays just in case.
It's a real PITA when you can't pinpoint the problem and you don't know when it's going to happen again.
I've only had the 110 since last September, it was the previous owners pride and joy always garaged and no mods or alterations but a new business venture meant that he needed some cash. I'd previously had a 2007 puma 90 and not a days trouble with it but that went back to the UK with the ex.

Asides from replacing the VCV and the main relay, check that the earth on the battery is tight and making contact with the clamp. In my case, while changing out the VCV and the main relay helped make the truck run smoothly, it was eventually the contact between the earth post on the battery and the clamp that was the culprit. I had to make a conical copper sleeve to make the contact good. It went well after that. But alas, due to this, my battery wore down and I had to replace it with a new one. Either that or it's been running the same battery since 2011 and just got changed out a few months ago... Whistle

In any case, I hope this helps.
