I hope this isn't a sign of things to come! Competitive initial premiums to reel you in and then huge price hikes. Just goes to show you have to shop around every year with insurance! James

I must say that's the largest insurance quote I've ever had!
No one could compete with the A plan premium last year, think it was around the 300 mark? Shame really, as I've used them on and off for years, my first car policy was with them, and they are only a few miles away. Strange thing is? Why give me my renewal quote, then give me an alternitive quote of 689? Which is still way too much. Even if they came back with a ridiculously low quote now, I wouldn't use them out of principle. Just another company sucking you in with a cheap deal, only to sting you a year down the line. But I suppose They are all the same? Time to talk to the mearcats again, or that daft opera singing guy.

It doesn't look like you're insured with our specialist vehicle centre in Thatcham, we're certainly not seeing increases in premiums like the one you mention. ^^^^ just a thought, but it might be a good idea to make sure the internal "communication channels are clear" so that when anyone contacts A Plan they are always steered towards the best product for a 4x4?

2 days ago. Still no call??  80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Can't rely on anyone these days, I'd recommend compare the market and use that.
Phone is a right pain, they'll only all up your phone bill and couldn't care less some.  Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨🔧🧰⚙️

I've insured my standard 90 2001 TD5 on 12k miles a year, fully comp with Lloyd's (Bank) and it cost 203 a year. I tried A plan and they said they could't get close. Mike

Quick update..
A plan contacted me this morning, all sorted with a premium I was happy to pay. There were misunderstandings on behalf of myself, and A plan, but all sorted now. Many thanks to Henry at the Thatcham branch.  80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

I also had quotes considerably cheaper from Direct Line & LV so changed this year. I do not mind paying a bit more, but 40% more, no thank you.
