Is this stereo a straight swap?
Can anyone tell me if the Pioneer MVH-X380BT will just plug straight in to the existing standard stereo loom in my Defender?

I have '07 Puma 110 XS with the standard LR branded CD head unit. If it's not a straight plus in, what do I need to make it connect properly? 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Need to check if existing head unit is standard ISO or you will need an adaptor.

Recently changed my head unit & needed one of these.

2007 - 2012 Def = ISO wiring plug and play with most aftermarket I.C.E.

2012 Def > Non ISO, adapter required. Plug and play no wiring alterations needed but adapter IS required and readily available. Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️

Cheers, looks like it'll go straight in then. I Googled ISO connector and it looks like what is in there already. There's a good deal on these stereos in Halfords at the minute if anyone is interested. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I can confirm it does indeed plug straight in.

Does the bluetooth to your phone function on these work OK?

Once paired does it remember the phone and can you actually have a conversation (below 60). I guess the microphone can be fitted near your speedo cowl. Does the voice then come through the speakers.

Thanks

Metallica especially chosen to highlight how garbage the speakers are, but those will have to wait for another day. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Yes it remembers the phone and it connects automatically when the stereo comes. I have only tried it stationary so can't comment yet on what it's like at speed. I haven't fixed the mic yet so can move it about if it's not in the best place. The voice does come through the speakers.

Bluetooth music streaming seems good too. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
