Andrew never "built" the canopy. He has however, extensively modified it.
He bought it from AFN in Portugal. Cost is around £2500-£3000 delivered. Theres about an 8 week lead time on the canopy, from time of payment. Then you need to get it fitted (nothing on a defender is straight) and paint it. Andrew modified his 130 and the AFN canopy so that he could have a "straight through" load area. This would cost a few thousand for a coachbuilder / bodyshop to do. Search JLo on here to see his previous build. That one went for around £30k if I recall. This one will probably not be for sale for a good while. It's not even finished yet and Andrew has spent a HUGE amount of time and effort building it! You can see the attention to detail in this build.

He might not see this for a few days as he's usually extremely busy working, hence the slow progress on this build.

Driving past Brightwells the other week I noticed a blue 130 box back double cab in the compound of lots to sell. As I only saw it from the road it reminded me of J Lo but I never got chance to go in and have a look plus untill I saw this thread I forgot all about it. Quick look on the past results I found this;

Hi Chaps Longshanks is sat in the workshop awaiting my return, I am still working on my house refurb so Longshanks is on the back burner. He is still working and hauling stuff around the country but alas an empty shell on the inside.
He has just had his first MOT Shocked 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

That's really made me want a 130!
Incredible build. Are you planning on taking it overland camping anywhere once it's finished? I'm presuming that's the reason you're doing the conversion?
